I grew up by the ocean on Cape Cod, in a house full of people and never ending chaos, this is a privilege that I am endlessly grateful for. At a young age I learned how the act of sitting on the beach and gazing out at the endless ocean on to the horizon can calm my mind, between the colors and soft lines where water and land meet.

East Fork began as one potter, then two, then a few more, throwing clay and filling a wood-fired kiln on an old tobacco farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Before we had stores and a website, we had pottery sales on the farm. Much has changed in the last decade, but our early days laid the foundation for the company we are today.

Emily weaves on a Swedish-style loom using techniques and tools that would have been familiar to weavers of the Ancient World. Her goal is to create heirloom-quality functional textiles that enhance the beauty of any home.

Kelli Nyman is a self-taught abstract paper artist based in Cambridge, MA, a studio in Somerville. Holding a Design & Merchandising degree from Drexel University and a 12-year marketing career, she has created commissioned works for clients like the Grand Hyatt Hotel and McKinsey & Company. Her art is part of the permanent collection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Janine D'Adamo is a multi media artist and the Founder of Melko Designs. She works with cotton rope, fabric scraps, ribbon, thread, fibers and different color dyes to make handmade rope baskets. Each one is unique. Most baskets are made using an 85 year old antique Singer 107 G 103 industrial machine. Janine has a background in photography, ceramics and digital art. She has been making vessels of all sorts for 30 years.
